We awoke to another wonderful morning and after an energy boost headed to Bloody Bridge for our bouldering activity. The children demonstrated great balance with only a few slips. We finished with a high jump into the icy water which proved very refreshing!!!
After lunch we canoed on a very calm Castlewellan Lake. We 'paddled' down the lake and landed on an deserted island which we claimed for Moira Primary!!
Tonight was the most exciting activity of all - 'Who owes this piece of clothing?' This will be followed with our last night of sleep!!
See you all tomorrow!!!!
After 'some sleep' we refuelled with a tasty breakfast and got ready for our morning activities.
Three groups stayed at the centre and battled our fear of heights on the climbing wall and high ropes course. Everyone participated to the best of their ablility, with many overcoming a fear for heights......including Miss Wallace!!
The other two groups headed into the mountains and were treated to some beautiful scenery as they ascended to the summit. Hot drinks and a biscuit were enjoyed at the top.
The activities were were reversed for the afternoon activities.
This evening we participated in centre orienteering, quizzes and archery.... Robin Hood beware!!!!
We live in hope for additional sleep tonight!!!
After a relaxing journey to Ardnabannon, we had a delicious lunch and headed to Tollymore Forest Park for our Adventure Walk.
This consisted of walking up rivers, crawling through tunnels and walking under icy cold waterfalls. We even added in a free mud bath for some!!!
We had a lovely chicken curry with rice and chips and boarded the bus to Coco's Indoor Playground.
This we hope will tire them out....

INTERNET SAFETY DAY 2017
During school today, each class took time to discuss the importance of being safe while online.
There were stories, quizzes, puzzles and lots of discussion on what we can do, to keep safe while on the internet.
REMEMBER THOSE INTERNET SAFETY RULES!!
Congratulations to all the winners of Pupil of the Month.
This month we had been looking for good presentation skills or those children who had been working really hard at improving the presentation of their work.
WELL DONE EVERYONE!
Next month we will be looking for those children who are displaying good listening skills.
As part of our work through Eco Club, Mr. Gray took some pupils to discuss the garden birds found around Moira.
We looked at nesting boxes and how the size of hole on the front varied in size, depending on the type of bird. We constructed three nesting boxes, with different sized holes for our school grounds.
The children used their mathematical skills to measure and mark where needed drilling.
The children gained some 'DIY' experience in using a square, hammer, drill and impact driver.
