P1 are learning about Autumn. Over the last 2 weeks we made a big class book with lots of Autumn pictures. We all helped to create a sentence about each picture. Today we made our own Autumn picture book. They look fantastic! Well done everyone.

Book Week NI
To celebrate ‘Book Week NI’, the P1 boys and girls were invited to Moira Library for some storytelling. Heather kindly read them three very different stories. The boys and girls had a great time and enjoyed all of the books
Making sentences with our key words
Full and Empty
We filled buckets and wheelbarrows with Autumn leaves. Afterwards we chatted about how full we filled each bucket and wheelbarrow. We used the words, empty, full, nearly full and half full.
Forming 5
We have been learning how to write our numbers. We say rhymes to help us form each number correctly. For the number 5 we say
‘Down and around and a flag on high
That’s the way we make a five’
