AR success! So proud of these guys! ☺️

PTA Disco

P6 enjoyed a carousel of function machine activities on Thursday. They enjoyed creating a range of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division calculations using prompts and even creating their own problems. Afterwards, we talked about all the mental maths processes involved in even simple calculations, for example bridging ten or using near doubles. We also talked about the specific types of thinking we used such as classifying, applying and creating.

P6 had great fun with their outdoor learning this week! They took iPads outside to search for as many 2D shapes in the "real world" as possible. We found squares, trapeziums, pentagons, circles and even an obelisk!

Adverb Charades 😀

Investigating Prime Numbers in teams in P6! We really enjoyed this!

P6 enjoyed some outdoor learning reinforcing 2D shapes and the lines of symmetry within polygons!

P6 practised finding lines of symmetry in a range of shapes today. They enjoyed folding shapes and using mirrors to find as many lines as they could.

Miss Loughran took a group and Mrs Stafford and Mrs Armstrong took another group. Here are their photos!

What a brilliant day we had at Lurgan Junior High School! This was Mrs McClurg’s group and we got to sample lots of lovely subjects!

POPPING CANDY FUN

We talked about how we need saliva to activate the ingredients in the popping candy. We used adjectives to describe the sensation on our tongues and also found out that it is the Carbon Dioxide in the candy that makes it pop!

POPPING CANDY REINFORCING IRREVERSIBLE AND REVERSIBLE CHANGES. This was brilliant fun!!! 🤩
