This week, we have been talking about how it is important to ‘be bright, be seen’ as the winter months draw near. P6 made a super effort wearing bright coloured clothing to celebrate ‘Ditch the Dark day’ 💡 well done everyone!

P6 have been looking at tessellation during numeracy activities this week. They designed their own stencils to create their own unique tessellating patterns ✏️

Well done to our most accurate readers and those with the highest points for this half term . Also a huge congratulations to our word millionaires ⭐️

P6S were discovering about the impact their words can have on others.

P6 loved browsing the books at the Book Fair 📚

P6 enjoyed performing their dangerous animal poem 🦁 🐍 🦈

P6 were developing their skills of estimating and measuring distances in kilometres. They practised this by working in groups and measuring the length of the playground with a trundle wheel.

The children enjoyed playing Roll & Stick. It was a fun way of practising their remainder sums 🎲

P6 have been enjoying their weekly swimming lessons at South Lakes Leisure Centre 🏊‍♀️

P6 used the poem The Shark to explore the way the poet creates a sense of awe for a dangerous animal 🦈 In pairs they performed the poem.

P6 are developing their dribbling and passing skills in PE lessons. They then enjoyed using them in matches ⚽️

P6S loved creating 4 beat rhythms in music with Mrs Burns.
