Today in ABL we followed a recipe and designed our own icing or chocolate topped biscuits πŸͺ

Today in Science we explored the melting points of chocolate and discovered that dark chocolate takes the longest to melt because it has the most cocoa beans in it and the least diary 🀩 🍫

The taste test! 🀩 P4M were very pleased with their product! We only have a few minor tweaks to our flavouring and then we will be ready to sell these at our Dragons Den presentations 🀩🍫

Today P4 started making their taster bars of chocolate! We experimented with flavours and decoration before writing the recipe and sending it off to the manufacturers to make a batch to present at the Dragons Den presentations

Learning to use timelines

Today P4M learnt what AD and BC meant. We then looked at some key events and used this knowledge to order the events. We learnt to place these events on a timeline which meant we needed to spread out across the classroom to show how much time had passed between each event. Finally we used our knowledge to create a timeline for our topic ‘Chocolate’ 🍫

What makes a good set of instructions?

Today P4 followed a poor and a good set of instructions. We were very frustrated and annoyed when following the poor set of instructions and found it very difficult however when we followed the good set of instructions we ended up making a cool paper aeroplane as you can see. We learnt the importance of writing in detail and in chronological order and will keep this in mind when writing our own set of instructions!
