P1 enjoyed a yummy Halloween snack today as they reached filled their class treat jar! We had lots of fun dressing up and dancing at the school disco to finish off our first term in school.
In the lead up to the halloween holidays we read ‘Funny Bones’ and thought about the bones inside our body. We talked about what we had already learnt in P1 this term about the different parts of our body and how each part has a different job. We discussed why we have a skeleton and even thought about how our bones can often be fragile and break. We had lots of fun creating our own skeleton x-rays.
P1 were given some shapes to cut and stick. They were then encouraged to see if they could create an owl. They mastered it!!
We enjoyed listening to the Kipper and Biff story about ‘The Hedgehog’ and wanted to find out more about hedgehogs. We read a little more about hedgehogs in some Autumn books and then made our own hedgehogs with dough 🦔
We made a bus stop in the classroom and practised determine who was first, second or last in the queue. We had lots of fun imagining where the bus was going. We then had to listen to the teacher’s instruction and put the teddy bear in the correct train carriage.
