Today P4 sent a letter to Mrs Lau along with our โ€˜Save the rainforestโ€™ posters and our information texts that we typed on the computers about the impact of deforestation with the hopes we can convince her to reject the palm oil plantation plans ๐Ÿคž

๐ŸŒŸ Problem solving Friday! ๐ŸŒŸ Today we used our logical reasoning skills to practically solve the rainforest challenges

Today P4M had a fun Numeracy lesson with Mr Ford ๐ŸŒŸ He taught us how to estimate weight and helped us to read scales ๐Ÿ—ฟ

Today we have been collecting and categorising information about deforestation in ABL

Classifying Rainforest Animals ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿฆฅ๐Ÿฏ we also looked at food chains and the importance of different roles of animals in nature ๐ŸŒณ

Help us Find Fig! This afternoon P4M have been sketching images of Fig in the hopes that someone will recognise her. Just look at how detailed our sketches are ๐Ÿคฉ ๐Ÿ–ผ ๐ŸŒŸ

BREAKTIME CHALLENGE!๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿฆฅ๐Ÿฏ for the rest of the term we are going to complete a daily breaktime challenge. Using our rubbish and recyclables we will create a range of animals (using our imagination!๐Ÿ˜œ) here is our first instalment! We canโ€™t wait to see what we create! Knowing how to reduce reuse and recycle is really coming in handy

The P4 children have started to see the effects of deforestation and the impact this is having on their rainforest classrooms and itโ€™s animals. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆง๐ŸŒดWe are missing one of our most beloved creatures.. an orangutan called Fig whoโ€™s habitat has been destroyed by the palm oil plantation. We will be working extremely hard to prove the need to stop deforestation over the next few weeks and hopefully save the animals habitats. In the meantime keep your eyes peeled and contact P4 if you see any clues that an orangutan is near!
