Peace at Last Sound Story - we sequenced the story by making sounds, recording them and putting them in the correct order.

We have been exploring thick and thin in numeracy. We decorated candles using collage materials and discussed and ordered the candles from thinnest to thickest and smallest to tallest.

Parts of the eye 👁
As part of our light topic we have been learning about different parts of the eye and how light enters the eye. We focused on the pupil, iris, tear duct and eye lashes.

Light 💡
P1 are enjoying their new ‘light and sound’ topic. Today we spent the afternoon carrying out some light experiments. We discussed opaque and transparent materials and they loved working as a team to figure out what was in each dark box!! We then discussed how light enters our eyes and how we need to use other senses if we can’t see...this activity resulted in lots of giggles!!
Number ‘7’ number rotations
For working as a team and always trying our best, we got a class reward of hot chocolate outside - it was delicious!

We discussed the significance of Remembrance Day and then had a go at making poppies with construction materials. We focused on representing each of the important parts of the poppy.
