October

We revisited our rights and responsibilities. We decided that the right to be safe, the right to learn and the right to have friendships were the most important to us. Some lovely memories and ideas were shared. A special thanks to Charlotte for reminding us that there are special helpers in school, at home and in the community that we can trust.

We carried out some problem solving using digit cards.

We had fun today using a Compare and Contrast Thinking Frame to look at two spooky Halloween characters!

Today we were learning how to ‘code’ using Hopscotch!

We are developing our geographical language! The matching game helped us find the meaning of a variety of definitions.

We have learned a lot during our Teaching Stations sessions take a look at our photos to see what we have been up to!

P3 Outdoor Learning - Number Work

P3 had fun working outdoors to complete their numeracy. They made tally charts of any outdoor animals which they could see in the playground. They then helped to create an outdoors block graph with chalk to record their findings.

We have been learning all about ourselves and our place in the world in Activity Based Learning.

P3 had a visit from Victoria who told them all about how recycling helps our environment. They also  found out which bins we should use to recycle all our rubbish so we don’t put rubbish in landfill.

We studied a Joseph Coelho poem called ‘Counting to Ten’ for National Poetry day. It was all about finding ways to feel calm after feeling angry. We drew some people, places and items which help us to feel calm.

This week we made our own ‘Categorising Frame’ to help us to learn our spellings. Great photography Noah!!

Activity Based Learning has opened up many fun learning challenges for all!!
