Find out about our 'Book Buddies' scheme!
Wed 15 Nov 2017Meet Pip and his owner Mrs Rafferty. They visit our school every week as part of the "Book Buddies" scheme, to listen to some of our P3 children read. Research has shown that reading to a dog is therapeutic and beneficial, giving children more confidence to read aloud. He is a great listener and the children love reading to him!

ECO - Bat Boxes
Sat 07 Oct 2017As part of the biodiversity element of our Eco Schools programme, we have been looking at bats and creating a habitat for them to roost around our school.
As part of this, the children learnt some interesting facts about bats and then had to measure and mark accurately the sides of a bat box. The children will be constructing these during DIY club on a Friday afternoon.
Have a look at how well our first two groups built their bat boxes.

SPORT - Xcountry Athletics NI Round 1
Fri 06 Oct 2017Our Xcountry season began in Lurgan Park with Round 1 of the AthleticsNI Flahavans Primary Xcountry League.
Well done to all runners who ran exceptionally well, showing great determination and effort.
With so many runners now taking part, the team races are split into two.
Special mention must go to Lily for coming third in the Girls' Race. The Girls' Team finished 1st and the Boys' Team 3rd in their races - a fantastic achievement!!

SPORT - Girls' Hockey
Wed 24 May 2017Well done to Phoebe and Holly for being the certificate winners this week at hockey. Phoebe was presented with 'Superstar' and Holly with 'All-Star'.

'We Love Books Week'
Thu 18 May 2017All of the finalists performed their book presentations today as part of 'We Love Books Week'.....a huge amount of effort had clearly gone into them as they were superb!
