P6 enjoyed exploring the properties of 3D shapes and their nets .

The P6 children enjoyed learning about the types of food planted, grown and eaten by the Vikings. They were surprised to learn that on account of the Scandinavian climate being like our own the Vikings grew produce similar to that grown here in Northern Ireland. On Monday the children planted raised beds with vegetables commonly used by the Vikings. The produce will be harvested this Autumn and in the meantime the children will regularly visit our school garden to watch their plants grow and develop over the weeks and months ahead.
