Table-top activities

The children are enjoying their table top activities twice a week. These activities are specifically planned to develop skills such as fine motor, concentration, attention and listening and thinking skills.

Fun on the Nursery Hill

The children have been enjoying outdoor play on the nursery hill! They have been observing the signs of spring, developing their gross motor skills through climbing, pedalling , lifting and digging!

Brilliant Builders!

The children have been exploring how to build with blocks and loose parts. They were inspired by the stories ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ and were creating houses for the pigs and bridges for the goats to stand on. Lots of complex structures were built and the children were using lots of amazing mathematical language to describe them!

Week 3 and 4 Table-top activities.

The children enjoyed playing a listening game called Sound Bingo, cutting pictures of the three little pigs, making patterns with Pom- poms and counting numbers 1-5 using chain links! Lots of activities to develop their attention and listening skills, cutting / scissor skills, fine motor skills , counting/ number recognition and awareness of patterns.

Sequencing Frame

The children used a sequencing frame to order the different parts of the ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ story.
