We used a Connecting Frame to compare the capacity of containers. The containers were various shapes and sizes.
We had fun exploring the capacity of different containers. We discovered that using a funnel helped to fill the narrow necked containers. Then we decided to use a Categorising Frame to sort the full, half full and empty containers.
Problem solving - the wind blew our washing off the line. We had to figure out how many clothes pegs we would need to hang up our towels. Counting in 2’s really helped.
We created our own version of Waterlilies using pastels. Don’t they look wonderful!
P2 have been investigating different substances. We carried out an experiment to find out which substances dissolved in water.
P2 have been exploring number stories using numicon and a connecting frame 🙂
We loved doing a ‘Show and Tell’ about our Christmas gifts.
We are exploring our new Water topic through play based learning. We have been painting and even sewing our own felt fish using running and over stitch! We love using our imaginations with the small world play.
Such good fun in the snow ⛄️
