The Very Hungry Caterpillar 

 

We read the story of ‘ The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ , which created lots of learning opportunities and discussion for the children about the lifecycle of a butterfly! They painted caterpillar pictures using sponges to create a colour pattern!  They also created beautiful butterfly pictures using watercolours! The children loved retelling the story through various puppets on the interest table and sensory tray! 

Spring/ Minibeasts/ Growing

 

Our new theme is an exciting one! The children love outdoor learning and this topic is providing them with lots of opportunities to explore and investigate outdoors, find out about different mini beasts and learn how to look after plants and the environment! Have a look at what they’ve been up to so far!
