27/4/17: Eco club were very busy today-they calculated the healthy eating percentages for each class and also managed to sow some runner bean and carrot seeds!
4/5/17 Eco club members were hard at work today beginning to tidy up our garden area at the back of the school!
11/5/17 Eco club continued their 'Spring clean'- they're doing a super job!
18/5/17 Eco club were busy doing a range of activities today. They began by emptying the compost and recycling bins, then went outside on a 'flowering weed' hunt. After watering the plants they finished up with some litter picking.
25/5/17 With P7 pupils away on their residential trip, P6 members of the Eco club started preparations for their stall at the family fun evening. They have started to make colourful vases from old glass jam jars (thanks to all who donated the jars!) They also remembered to go and water the plants in the garden.
12/9/17 Eco club had discussions about how we could improve our waste management and then did some weeding in the garden
19/9/17 Eco club were using items they had brought in from home to prepare a display about using the bins correctly in school. They also prepared signs for the photocopier areas reminding people to dispose of plastic wrapping properly. Marielle showed us some pens and pencils that were made from recycled goods and she also brought in batteries to be recycled.
10/10/17 Eco club looked at ideas of how we can recycle bottle tops. They created posters to remind people about the 'Cash for Clobber' collection and to remind people to collect plastic lids. They started to create some hedgehog planters from plastic bottles.
