Day 1: P6 has arrived and settled in at Ballykinler. We’ve had a great afternoon on the high ropes course and lots of fun working together in team building games. Now to burn off some energy outside before a movie night! 🎬
P6 enjoyed an interactive Viking workshop led by the Active Learning company. They rotated around 9 different stations where they learnt about different aspects of Viking life including clothing, longhouses, weaving, weaponry, writing in Runes and games. At the end of the day they had the opportunity to make spears and learn sword drill. After a close fought competition, Faith in P6S was awarded the Viking warrior leader of Moira!

We all enjoyed getting onboard Santa's sleigh
P6 had a fantastic day at the Junior NBA Festival at the National Basketball Stadium in Dublin. The children met a former NBA player who played for the Seattle Supersonics. Maybe there are some future basketball stars in Moira PS!
P6 finished off their Europe topic with a celebration day. Through group presentations they shared lots of interesting facts on France, Spain, Italy, Poland and Germany. They got to try some French food and performed a traditional French dance.
P6 children have completed 8 weeks of swimming lessons and some children achieved swimming badges. As you can see from the pictures, everyone is delighted, including Harmony Sunshine!🏊🏻♂️ 🎉
We were delighted to view replicas of the FA and European Champions cups!
Children from P6 attended a Junior NBA tournament in Belfast in preparation for their Junior NBA tournament in Dublin. Both teams played very competitively and the girls went on to win the tournament.🏆 A special mention goes to Katie and Theo who won the knockout competition for scoring a basket. Max and Will also won the hot seating competition. 🏀

P6 thoroughly enjoyed their day at Lurgan Junior High where they experienced a range of secondary school subjects
W5-P6 enjoyed a trip to W5 where they took part in a light workshop. They investigated the spectrum of light and how it travels through different materials. Time was also spent exploring the interactive displays on the different floors and of course, paying a visit to the shop!😁🔦🌈
