Our final cookery session saw us making tomato soup from scratch! When the chopping had been done (onions, celery and carrots),we fried the vegetables until soft and added chunks of potato. Next we added chopped tomatoes, passata, vegetable stock and bay leaves and simmered forever!!! In fact, no-one had any soup until the following day as it wasn't ready in time. I think next time we'll have to remember to chop the vegetables smaller.
Everyone was a bit sad as this was our last day together at cookery and there were even a few tears! Mrs Cummings and I want to thanks all our budding chefs for taking such an interest and being so well behaved. We look forward to hearing all about their cooking practice at home!
