Today we explored our beautiful school grounds. Some of the trees are very old. They have very thick trunks. One had bumpy bits on its bark that looked like eyes. There was a fairy door at the bottom of the trunk. We saw a very young tree. It was short and had a thin trunk. Some of the trees had berries. Little birds will eat these during the winter. We saw some trees that don't lose their leaves. They are called evergreen trees. Trees that lose their leaves are called deciduous trees. Before heading back we stopped off in the garden and said and sang some Autumn rhymes
