We were delighted when Emily's version of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" won the overall Olivia Hughes Award. The applause and laughter James got for his play based on "The Twits" showed how much the audience enjoyed it!
Young Enterprise Scheme
P.7 thoroughly enjoyed having Mr Roberts in to deliver the Young Enterprise scheme. He told them about his business, about entrepreneurs and then about making a profit. In teams they had great fun buying raw products, manufacturing an item and then selling to a retailer.
We had a great day at Castle Espie, spending the day outdoors taking part in the many activities. The pupils were amazed how close they could get to the geese and ducks when they were feeding them. The bird hide proved popular as we looked out across the lough and identified the birds we found. Using nets we took samples from the pond and then used magnifying glasses and a key to inspect and name the creatures we had collected. Then at the end there was time for some free play time.
When Google expeditions visited our school we were able to get right inside the International Space Station. It was amazing.
