We have been undertaking a variety of measuring activities this term. We have used cubes to measure our feet, we have also used our feet to measure the width of the playground. We compared how many paces and strides it took us to cross the playground and we had a plenary session in the outdoor classroom. You can also see us choosing items on our desk and ordering them by length. We discovered a common baseline is important when doing this.
P3 make a wormery with Sharon McMaster
P3 are now responsible for several hundred worms! We will be visiting them twice a week in their wormery (in the garden shed) and bringing them our waste. They are going to transform it into beautiful compost. We need to check the temperature of the soil - ideally 15 degrees C - and test for any surplus gunge.
