30th January

This week we are learning about the number 10. We will be making a book about 10 as well as making sets of objects. We will be using cuisinaire rods and multi links to solve some tricky problems. We hope to work on some shape and length challenges.

Multi Link Letters

We made a tower using 10 multi links. We changed the tower into a letter.

Cuisinaire Rods

We put the rods in order from the shortest to the longest. Each coloured rod has a number from 1-10. We know which colour represents each number and had fun playing the 'show me' game. The orange rod is number 10. Our challenge was to work together at our table to make a wall for Humpty. Each row of bricks had to be the same length as the orange rod.

Making a Book About 10.

We had to make a page for the book. We were allowed to draw, stick or use stamps. We had to make sure we had 10 pictures on our page.
